Visa and Entry Requirements

Thailand offers visa-on-arrival facilities for citizens of over 60 countries, with stays of up to 30 days. For longer events or groups requiring extended stays, the Tourist Visa (TR) allows stays of up to 60 days with a possible 30-day extension.

For groups of 20 or more, your DMC can facilitate group visa processing through the Thai Embassy or Consulate in your home country. This streamlines the arrival process and reduces the risk of individual visa issues.

Customs and Temporary Import of Event Materials

Bringing event materials, exhibition equipment, and promotional items into Thailand requires careful planning. Thailand's customs regulations allow temporary importation of event materials under the ATA Carnet system, which simplifies the process for most standard event equipment.

For items not covered by ATA Carnet, your DMC can arrange temporary import permits through the Thai Customs Department. Allow at least 4-6 weeks for this process.

Ground Transportation

Thailand's transportation infrastructure is excellent, particularly in Bangkok and the major resort destinations. For corporate groups, the options include:

Private Coach Transfers: For groups of 20 or more, private coaches are the most efficient and cost-effective option. Thailand has several premium coach operators with modern fleets and professional drivers.

VIP Van Transfers: For smaller groups or executive transfers, luxury vans with professional drivers provide a more personalized experience.

Helicopter Transfers: For premium incentive programs, helicopter transfers between Bangkok and resort destinations add a memorable touch and save significant travel time.

Communication and Technology

Thailand has excellent mobile coverage across all major destinations, with 5G available in Bangkok and major resort areas. International SIM cards are available at airports and convenience stores, and most hotels offer complimentary high-speed WiFi.

For events requiring dedicated internet connectivity, your DMC can arrange dedicated fiber connections at most major venues.
